Alexa Simon

Founder - Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher

Alexa has been a Minnesota Kindergarten teacher for a number of years and has spent over 13 years working with children in various settings (childcare, after-school programs, and youth sports). After getting her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, and her Masters degree in Special Education, she then went on to receive her 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teaching Certificate & 20-Hour Kid’s Yoga Teaching Certificate. Having practiced yoga for the past 9 years, she wanted to bring yoga to local families and children. She loves the incredible health benefits yoga has brought her, and thrives on sharing those benefits with others!

She founded the company, Minnesota Kids Yoga Co. as she began combining her passions into one. Through her many experiences, she’s realized the incredible need children have in finding healthy ways to express themselves. Alexa believes kids yoga is a wonderful platform that creates fun, positive, and mindful activities which altogether promote self-confidence! When Alexa isn’t teaching yoga, practicing yoga, or blogging about yoga, she enjoys spending time with her hubby, kiddos and pup. See a full list of Alexa’s qualifications below.
